Winterization Checklist For Boat

-Add marine stabil to the gas prior to last trip of season then top off

-rev up the engines to blow out water

-Fill up gas tank and add the additional stabil to the full tank (leave a little room for expansion in hose)

-Change oil and oil filter

-Change spark plugs

-Check bearing buddy grease levels and add if needed

-Pump grease into drive shaft grease nipples

-Fog engines

-Remove carpets and clean, store rolled inside out in garage

-Remove bimini and store inside garage

-Remove Batteries and put on timed trickle charger

-Oil steering and shift cables

-Clean out bilge pump strainer

-Check all nuts for tightness

-Clean all vinyl with protectant and conditioner

-Open all hatches and storage doors/seats to allow air flow

-Remove all removable seat cushions and store in garage

-Detail and cover!

-Some people put the trailer on jack stands to prevent flat spots on the tires.

-If storing outside, cover the tires to prevent UV exposure/damage

-If storing in a damp area...put tray of Kitty litter (or other moisture aborbing material) in

boat to absorb moisture

Plug all thru hull fittings to prevent insect nests ( don’t forget to remove at beginning of season)
